Regarding participatory practices of music lovers, I have been operating a Bebo profile for an artist named Ariel. But that is for another post today I want to talk about ASSM (Artists Support Shopping Mall) and my online store.

The ASSM is founded to support artists on SellaBand started by believer Merchanteyes.

Everything you buy from the ASSM earns money for SellaBand top 100 artists. From 2,5 to 6% on hotel bookings to over $ 100 for a 2 year ($ 25 a month) cellphone contract.You pay the normal internet price, the company you buy from pays the ASSM for advertising

100% of the money earned goest to “parts” from SellaBand top 100 artists.
80% will go to believers of SellaBand top 100 artists through a monthly Gift Part Lottery. 20% will be used by MerchantEyes and Associates to buy parts of SellaBand top 10 (2% each) artists.

Now as some of my long time readers and maybe a few who have decided to read everything in this blog may know music wasn't my 1st direction. Originally Timelineonline was meant to build a resource of legitimate work at home projects. Well with the current economy I am glad I didn't go in that direction. Just the online surveys have gone from a starting of $8/hr to more like $3/hr, who knows about the others.

However I kept my online store even though many have told me to drop it. I did so as I knew eventually I could work it into benefiting Independent artists. And now with an agreement to pay into the ASSM 25% of all sales no matter where the sale comes from. Well just in this last month not only has Alex added 400 new friends on Myspace. But he has also been getting responses from these new friends. As long time readers and subscribers know only 5% of your myspace friends usually count. However if like Alex you focus on getting active friends that percent will be much higher.

Vegas Dragons are still very active on Sellaband and trying to do our best to spread the word and raise the funds.

It is also to see our great friends Tiffany Gow and Nearfield get closer to their goal of 50K! It is a year to the day that Vegas Dragons achieved this goal and the kindness of our Believers will never be forgotten.

If you watch all 3 videos (and enjoy a bit of metal in your life) you will notice that at least 2 of the videos promote VD (Vegas Dragons). Also at this time there are just under 150 new views to these videos, potential new fans. Basically when you know you have the best music in 22 galaxies you aren't too concerned about how your fans work to get your music even further out there.

Maybe the number of views only doubles in the next 6 months. At 300 if only 1 of these new viewers looks to buy your cd, what did it cost you? With tools like Google Alerts you can be aware of when your music is being stolen. Why not stop by and say thank you, rather then get uptight show your support on the marketing muscle being used for you.
